If you are concerned that your system is not functioning properly, the best first step is to reset your system. Completing your system reset before submitting a service request may save you time and money. We have developed the most common reset processes in the FAQ section below for you to follow.

Shading, weather, time of day, and time of year all have an impact on how much energy your system will produce. Your owner’s manual packet has the details of your system and will tell you the expected production of your system once online. For further details refer to this document about solar production:
The most common first step to correcting an inverter, system controller, or system error is to perform a system reset. This is basically: ‘turn it off, then turn it back on.’ It sounds absurd, but this fixes most basic errors. Below are the instructions for the system reset for some of the systems we install:

More often than not cleaning your panels is a waste of time and potentially money. Estimates on the benefits of panel cleaning showed around a 1% increase in production.
Our take: let the rain do the cleaning a couple times a year.
